The Met Gala: The Good, The Bad and The RIHANNA!

On Monday night, our favorite fashionistas gathered to attend the coveted annual Met Ball in NYC. This year’s theme was China: Through the Looking Glass and people definitely did not disappoint. Here are a few of my picks for looks to be remembered. Some are amazing and others are extremely boring. I would like to add that in the spirit of positivity, there will not be a worst dressed. For individuals whose style was a little challenged this year, I shall simply wish them better luck next year. Without further ado, the gowns!

Empress Beyonce in custom Givenchy (yes I just called her Empress). How many salads do I have to eat to get this body?

Sofia Vergara in Marchesa (very elegant)

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Houte Couture (preferred her after-party dress)

Donatella Versace and Jennifer Lopez both in custom Versace (the Legends unite once again)

Amal Clooney in John Galliano for Maison Martin Margiela (gorgeous)

Kate Hudson in Michael Kors (a little on the safe side for me)

Olivia Wilde in Prada (it’s OK)

Chloe Sevigny in custom J.W. Anderson (leaving people to form their own opinions on this one)

Cara Delevingne in Stella McCartney

Miley Cyrus in Alexander Wang (she’s just being Miley)

Lady Gaga in Alexander Wang (I actually like this. I am not a big fan of her eyebrow game though)

Princess Kerry Washington in Prada (adore this on her!)

Sarah Jessica Parker in H&M Conscious in collaboration with SJP herself. Hat by Philip Treacy (I don’t entirely hate this. SJP can do no wrong in my eyes. She definitely took the theme seriously and after all it’s the Met Gala. You do you SJP)

Kanye and Kim (Kardashian) West in Balmain and Roberto Cavalli respectively (curves on curves!)

Michael B. Jordan in Dolce and Gabbana (Beautiful man. Beautiful fit)

Justin Bieber in Balmain (getting a Michael Jackson vibe with this one)

Last but certainly not one to forget, Rihanna in Guo Pei (I love Rihanna because she takes risks and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. Power to you!)
