• Reinventing 2.0: Dark Side.

Working on the article about superheroes’ influence on fashion, I defined that a number of world-famous designers literally got inspired by various imaginary heroes from comics. And then I realized I was missing something that the couturiers didn’t miss. When we open a comics book, do we only worship superheroes? When we turn on «The Dark Knight», is it only Batman who interests us? Actually no. I only focused on one part before, but without another one there is no «whole». No Batman without Joker, no X-men without Mistique, no good without evil. And «evil» is sometimes not bad, at least not in terms of style. Today on lustinfashion we will…

  • The Fashion Industry in the Great White North

As many of you might already know, I am Canadian and so proud to represent my country abroad and in Italy. There are so many great things our country has, however when you think of Canada you don’t link it to fashion, why? Well, on my flight back to Canada last week I had a ton of delays aka loads of time to finally catch up on some great reads and I came across this great article in The Financial Post called “Why Fashion Brand Success Stories are so Few and Far Between in Canada”. That’s when it really hit me, yes nobody in Italy would ever think that Canada…

  • The Difference Between Style And Fashion.

“Fashion fades style is eternal” Yves Saint Laurent Every season we are spectators of the newest creations from our beloved stylists. We know new radical trends, colors and shapes. We see models, literally rocking the runway wearing the latest must have, that we’ll probably never have. We stare at this wearable and enchanting creativity, that comes and goes away on the catwalk in few seconds. This is fashion.

  • Chords of Trussardi.

The past weekend here wasn’t a piece of cake: Milan was rainy, grey and thus depressing. When weather turns to its dark side, there’s only one reason to leave home on Sunday, and every fashion addicted knows what it is. In spite of the raindrops attempting to ruin our hair, makeup and outfits, at 5PM we were running through the puddles in the direction of Palazzo Serbelloni to see Trussardi.

  • Beauty at MFW: Ermanno Scervino

Over the weekend the BS4F team and I were busy running (literally) around the city attending presentations and shows in order to share what’s to come for FW16/17 with all of you! I have to say that I was particularly impressed with the Ermanno Scervino show, not only because logistically it was well organized, but because we actually got a seat close enough to truly enjoy the beauty of his pieces. Before I had ever been to my first fashion show, I thought everything worked smoothly and people walked calmly to their seats in a timely manner before the show started…obviously I hadn’t taken “The Devil Wears Prada” movie…

  • 24 Hours Of Milan Fashion Week.

Ciao, fashionistas! Every single day of MFW the crew of BS4F attends fashion shows and presentations, and we usually just write about them independently. However, today it will be different! Reading this article, you’ll be able to spend the whole day at the Milan Fashion Week, as I’m telling you all about how we spent this Saturday at the presentations. We will make a whole fashion trip: start at Kiton, continue to Duvetica, AlbertoGuardiani, and LeSilla, and finish at the Tods re-see.

  • Music Meets Fashion At Trussardi.

On Monday (18.01) Trussardi presented its Fall-Winter 2016/2017 Menswear Collection in Pinacoteca di Brera. #bs4f members were on the guestlist, and what we saw is definitely worth sharing!

  • Fall-ing For Missoni.

Yesterday BS4F was invited to attend the much anticipated Missoni Men’s Fall 2016 show and I must say I was very impressed! Although it was very hectic getting inside – we’re not VIPs just yet… – once we made it past security and the sign in table the stage was set beautifully for the season to be presented.

  • Stella Jean And Her Cultural Hybridism.

Colors and shapes as the various latitude degrees, a mixture of different traditions, cultures and physiognomies as an only one look: that’s what we saw yesterday at the presentation of Stella Jean’s Fall Winter 2016-2017 Menswear Collection.
