The Milan Fashion Week has just passed. Runways have been the stage for so many new fashion trends. With every season bringing in something new trends to the fashion industry one cannot help but wonder: Where do these trends come from? As any fashion lover knows, fashion is not only about brand labels and dressing up pretty; fashion is a reflection of global flows around us including cultural, technological, political happenings. Winter wonderland at Moncler Gamme Bleu show
Once you entered into the Moncler showroom, you could not but be amazed by the venue: a mountain landscape with trees covered in snow. A deem blue light added that touch of mystery and wonder that reigns in the wood. As the show began, snow started falling down from the roof as a party of men dressed in a jump suit entirely covered with hooks and ropes, outlined the catwalk. Imagine you are in front of a gate. Imagine you pass through this gate and walk on the gravel along a path surrounded by grass and trees. Then, you see a marvellous garden, a peaceful environment with a pool in the middle. You walk up the steps of the entrance. Diversity, equality, inclusivity: today these concepts are heard from everywhere. The world of fashion, setting the standards for our perception and the system of ideals since day 1, serves as common ground for the dispute. In the society where every message is transmitted in no time, discussed in to time and causing effect in no time is it possible for a designer to be discriminative in his show cast with no impact?
