Yesterday BS4F was invited to attend the much anticipated Missoni Men’s Fall 2016 show and I must say I was very impressed! Although it was very hectic getting inside – we’re not VIPs just yet… – once we made it past security and the sign in table the stage was set beautifully for the season to be presented.

Being a Bocconi alumni I had never been to the Statale Univeristy campus before – I felt like I had walked into a movie! The beautifully long covered archways outside were the perfect setting for a fashion show. They gave the setting just the right touch of a romantic feel, which contrasted in a very positive way with the strong jawlines and fierce eyes of the – beautiful…gorgeous… – male models.

What I love about Missoni, is that there is such a strong heritage and history literally weaved within the pieces. I learned so much about the Missoni brand and Angela Missoni herself at the Decoded Fashion Conference that I attended with BS4F a few months ago  – article is available on our blog as well! She picks a different culture and heritage to interlink with her own family’s values for each collection. This year the clear mix between the warm Italian wools and colourful rich tones was evident. I must say the outcome was beautiful!

Her models strutted down the runway, which was completely covered in fall leaves, donning the colourful knits with attitude. I don’t know if their strength came from the right amount of bling added onto many of the pieces, of because they just felt sexy in the clothing – I think it was probably a mix of both! I am a big fan of fringe, so of course I was happy to see that I can have a reason to dress my boyfriend in fringe accented sweaters next fall as well!

Speaking of well dressed people – I was starstruck to be so close to Anna Dello Russo AND Valentina Ferragni. Although we didn’t get the chance to meet each other personally their beautiful and positive vibes were strong and I was soaking them all up. Always staying in the same family, the guest photographer for the show was none other than Andrew Arthur, Chiara Ferragni’s boyfriend famously known from her SnapChat! Check out our website for more photos from the show and for a behind the scenes look be sure to go to @andrewarthur Instagram feed or check out the #Missoniguest hashtag!
