The smell of leather fills the crispy air of the early afternoon at Villa Necchi Campiglio, the location chosen by Diego Della Valle for displaying the new Tod’s F/W 2016 man collection.
The concept of the show was to open many different sitting rooms to the public, each one telling a particular story. Models in each corner were pretending to chat, while spectators were taking pictures, admiring details and focusing on textures and colors combinations.
Made in Italy and Contemporary Style: these are the key points that Tod’s always manages to bring out in its creations, being at the same time fresh, strong and ever so interesting. Functionality is also a characteristic that clearly emerges from the presentation: just think about the new pair of sneaker proposed, the so-called sneak-mocs, which mix classical shapes and sporty spirit. A running sole matched with a metallic border: just awesome!
Off course also clothing is highly sought, with warm and enveloping fabrics, perfectly designed for the “Urban Dandy”, a masculine man that cannot renounce to an elegant and sartorial touch to his style.
The nicest part was at the main entrance: a wall covered in lots and lots of famous woody feet on it, representing famous men’s shoes sizes. Starting from Leonardo DiCaprio, to Justin Timberlake, Brad Pitt, Hugh Grant, Bill Clinton and Christian Bale.
A perfect spot for taking some group photos!
And last, but not least, we had the opportunity to say hello again to Mr. Della Valle, who we already met and interviewed a few weeks ago – if you missed the interview, please click here! Definitely such a great afternoon!
