Low-despicable
Fenty’s end(y)
What can we say? The brand maybe seemed to shine bright like a diamond, but for sure, it was a shooting star! Indeed, after only two years, Rihanna’s luxury Fenty fashion house closes down. While her beauty and Savage x Fenty lingerie lines are cooler than ever, the ready-to-wear line has been put on hold. Due to supply chain issues and travel restrictions during the pandemic, the singer and LVMH have jointly decided to leave Fenty on ice while waiting for the storm to pass. And “Now that it’s raining more than ever”, we hope Rihanna stays “under her umbrella!”
Paris is the New York
Guess who is moving from the big Apple to la Ville Lumière? And No, it’s not Emily in Paris for the second season. According to IFDAQ’s ranking commissioned by Vogue Business, it is the title of world’s leading fashion city. Indeed, by 2025 the city of love will overtake the one that never sleeps for relevance and potential in the global fashion industry. One point in favor of putting Paris at the center is the predominant role of the two conglomerates LVMH and Kering in the market. However, it’s not like les jeux sont faits and there is still time … They say success does not happen overnight, so maybe the city could use some regenerative sleep!
Fashion vs Brexit
We know what you are thinking, wasn’t a pandemic enough?! And yet, UK’s fashion industry is facing decimation because of all the restrictions imposed by the new post-Brexit trade agreement with the EU. More than 400 leading figures and icons in the sector are sending letters to the Prime Minister asking for urgent action and asking the government to collaborate. While they may survive, smaller companies couldn’t afford to continue to sell to EU countries. How will this war of the roses end?

MFW F/W 21/22
For some people is Christmas, for others is Thanksgiving, but for us, the most awaited period of the year is Fashion Week. And luckily, we get it twice! After New York and London, and just before Paris, now it’s Milan’s turn. From today, the Italian fashion capital wears Prada, Fendi, Armani, and all the most iconic brands. The bad news is that everything will be held digital; the good news is that even mere mortals without a VIP pass get the chance to be in the first row. Haven’t you sync your calendar with all the shows yet? What are you wearing for?!
Hermes’s gallop
Despite the horse fever that has hit the luxury world, our favorite equestrian-rooted brand seems to have recovered! But let’s talk revenues… In its Q4 of 2020, The Paris-based company has delivered a 16% sales growth exceeding any analyst’s expectations. How? Thanks to significant sales demand in Asia. Among its luxury peers, for sure, Hermes has won the Palio. Looks like it will need one of its high-quality saddles to continue this gallop in the best fashionable way!
